By cruise ship
Ships dock downtown or at the Railroad Dock, an easy walk to Broadway. Downtown is busiest 7am–5pm.
By ferry

The cruise docks sit at the south end of town. Broadway, the historic main street, runs north from the waterfront, and most shops, saloons and museums are within a few blocks of it.

Which dock is my ship at?
The port assigns docks close to each date. Pick your date in the schedule above to see your ship’s dock once it is assigned, and confirm it with your cruise line.
How far is downtown from the docks?
From the Broadway and Ore docks it is roughly a 9-minute walk to State Street and 5th Avenue, in the middle of downtown. From the Railroad Dock you take a short shuttle or tender first, then walk.
Which days are the busiest?
Days with three or four large ships bring the biggest crowds. The season calendar on this page shades every 2027 ship day by the number of cruise visitors, and lists the five busiest and quietest days.
What time of day is town busiest?
Downtown is busiest from about 7 am to 5 pm on ship days. Pick your date to see an hour-by-hour estimate built from the ships’ arrival and departure times.
