How we make money, and what that does and doesn’t change.
Skagway Times is free to read. We pay for it with advertising and affiliate links.
Affiliate links
Some links to tours (Viator, GetYourGuide), hotels (Booking.com, Expedia), books (Bookshop.org) and products (Amazon) are affiliate links. If you book or buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These links are marked with a note nearby. As an Amazon Associate, Skagway Times earns from qualifying purchases.
Listings and sponsors
Local businesses can pay for a featured listing, a sponsored placement shown first in its category, or a newsletter sponsorship. These are always labeled Featured or Sponsored, and sponsored placements never change our descriptions or the order of the unpaid listings below them.
Advertising
Ads on the site are labeled “Advertisement.” Until ad partners fill them, ad spaces show promotions for our own pages, labeled “Advertisement · Skagway Times.”
What doesn’t change
Money never decides what we recommend. See our editorial policy.
