About Skagway Times

An independent visitor guide to Skagway, Alaska.

Home / About Skagway Times

Skagway Times is an independent guide for the more than a million people who spend a day in Skagway each summer, and for the road-trippers who come over the pass from the Yukon.

We want every visitor to leave with a better day than they would have planned alone: the right train trip, a trail that fits their time, lunch somewhere good and enough history to make Broadway come alive.

What makes us different

  • Built for your time in port. Plans for 4 hours, 8 hours and overnight, and live weather for your dates.
  • Sourced facts. Trail distances from the National Park Service and the railroad’s own information. Guides list their sources.
  • Independent. We’re not part of the town government, the Park Service or any cruise line.
